This track was done for an album called SAM, released on Powershovel in Japan. It was a three-way split between Asuna (Japan), Magazine King (Korea), and myself, when we all performed together for a Powershovel party & book launch.
During our stay in Tokyo we spent one day in a studio recording our improvisations. Later in the year I received the stems to work into a song for the split.
Meryll Ampe mutates a host of sound sources to make groaning machine music, coated in hiss and crackling with static. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 13, 2022
A record about “accepting emotional and rational void,” “the art of being empty” is billowing, feather-light pop at its finest. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 3, 2020
It sounds bittersweet. like a troubled past that you look at fondly and appreciate that it shaped you the way you are, for the better or worse. Mediumkey
